About:

After a whirlwind romance, Taryn Young is preparing to board a plane at Houston International Airport, bound for a dream honeymoon, when a bomb decimates the terminal. Injured but still alive, she awakens to discover her husband is missing and they’re both considered prime suspects in the attack. Further, the FBI is convinced her husband isn’t who he appears to be.

Agent Grayson Hall’s number-one priority is to catch those responsible for the day’s act of terror. All evidence is pointing to Taryn and her new husband. But his instinct tells him her pleas of innocence are genuine. Is her naiveté just for show, or could she truly be another victim of a master scheme, possibly linked to the software she recently developed for her company?

With both their lives and reputations on the line, and the media outcry for justice increasing with each passing minute, Taryn and Grayson have no choice but to trust one another . . . and pray they can uncover the truth before they become two more casualties.

My thoughts and giveaway:

Well, DiAnn has done it again. If you have read anything by DiAnn Mills you know you are in for a thrill ride when you open the pages of her book. Firewall is no different.

The beginning pages start so peaceful and full of hope and then Taryn’s perfect world is rocked, literally. From that moment forward the reader is catapulted into a mess that only seems to get worse.

I kept waiting for the action to let up but it really doesn’t. Each chapter takes you deeper and deeper into this mess that has become Taryn’s, and then Grayson’s, life.

Some of the verbage was a bit technical for me, I am not a techie person at all, and it might be for you too, but don’t let that stop you from reading. If you push through you will grasp the meaning, so don’t over think it just go with it and enjoy the story because it’s a good one.

The only other thing that kind of stopped me was some of the dialogue seemed forced, not natural, but again the overall plot is so engaging it really didn’t stop me for long.

This is a book I highly recommend to anyone who enjoys a fast paced suspense with a touch of romance.
