Fugitive by Shirlee McCoy

From the back cover of Fugitive:

“Help me.”

When she opens her door to a wounded, handcuffed stranger, Laney Jefferson is terrified…until she recognizes her unexpected visitor. Thirteen years ago, Logan Randal was there for her when she desperately needed a friend. Now the wrongfully convicted lawman needs the widow’s help. On the run from the law and guided only by Laney’s unswerving faith in Logan’s innocence, their mutual attraction begins to break down the barriers around Laney’s heart. But the real culprit is much closer than they imagine…a cunning enemy determined to keep the past—and the truth—buried forever.

My thoughts:

Fugitive is from Love Inspired Suspense. I have to be honest, I continue to be impressed with the work Love Inspired is putting out.

I had a pre-conceived idea of what Love Inspired was like. I thought, well, it’s a mass market book, they are short, they can’t be very good. But I was wrong.

This is the second Love Inspired Suspense novel I have read and enjoyed the first one as well.

Because the books are shorter this is a quick read and because it is suspense you will want to keep turning the pages. Shirlee McCoy has crafted a pulse-racing story that will keep you guessing.

The characters in this book are very likeable (at least the ones you are supposed to like). I can’t wait to get my hands on more of  her books.

The other great thing about Love Inspired is they are very reasonably priced, you gotta love that.

The only downside is that the book doesn’t release until May 7. So add this book to your wish list or pre-order it on your Kindle or Nook and it will just show up on your device the day of release.

An egalley of this book was given to me by Netgalley.com in exchange for an honest review.
