I am pondering the word “good” today as we reflect on Good Friday.

In the beginning God created and it was good.

Then what?

Man turned to the one who destroys and things weren’t good anymore. We were separated from God.

Not good.

But God had a plan from the beginning. Even as Eve ate of the fruit, the shadow of the cross rose up. This would be the way to make things good again.

When God creates it is good. What He creates is good.

So He created a way for us to be united with Him.

His Son, Jesus.

I believe this is why we can call this Friday “Good Friday.” God created a way for His children to join Him again. To never experience separation.

He created the cross and it was good.

It is good because we know the end of the story.

Jesus rose again and now we can have new life because Jesus gives new life.

Our sins went to the grave with Him and we are made new.

May we live in this truth each and every day, not just today.

May each day we remember that it is good to be a child of the King.

It is good to live on this side of the cross.

It is good be set free.

It is good sit in His presence.

And God sees you and He is good. All the time.

I pray God will open your eyes to see this Easter in a new and fresh way. I pray your heart will be pulled closer to His. Have a blessed Easter!
