The stalwart saint and the redeemed rebel. One is fighting for faith, the other for honor…
After Dirk rescues Gwyneth from the Iconoclastic Fury, she discovers that faith is sometimes fragile—and hope is not as easy as it may seem. Gwyneth continues her quest to learn more about the love of God preached by Protestants she once distrusted.
Meanwhile, Dirk’s quest is to prevent his sullied name from staining hers. Will his choice to protect her prove the undoing of her first faltering steps toward a Father God? Once separated, will Dirk and Gwyneth’s searching hearts ever sing the same song?
Rachelle’s writing has gotten even better with this book. Her words soar off the page with grace.
Dirk is such a strong character and cares for Gwyn so much he is willing to sacrifice his feelings for her. The way he tries to push back his feelings broke my heart every time.
Gwyn is searching for who God really is. What can she believe? What can she trust? She thought she could trust her uncle and she was hurt by him.
If you enjoyed Rachelle first book you will love catching up with these characters again and joining them on this new journey. However, I do think you could read the second book and figure out what is going without reading the first if you didn’t get around to it.
