My thoughts:

I really appreciated the message of this book. The storyline was very engaging and it spoke on so many truths we often try to ignore. We see the homeless but do we really see them, do we see their story and that they are a child of God as well?

With that being said I struggled with the omniscient point of view (popping from head to head, I prefer third person). I was also irritated with the constant saying of Lydia Jensen, or John Jensen at the beginning of every chapter, the stating of their last name. But those are just my personal pet peeves. I don’t need to be reminded of their last name every chapter.

It was also a very preachy book. Which is fine for a believer reading it, but I think a for non- believer it might be a bit much.

But like I said, I enjoyed the overall story and message just a few things that pulled me out every now and then.
