*This book is a short story that precludes book one in the Keepers of the Light series.*

There was no better way to put it: Max Tucker was running away. The newly-constructed Puffin Point Lighthouse on the forested shores of Oregon seemed like the perfect place to nurse his broken heart, with its sweeping views of rock and wave and near-isolation from society.

Until he visits Spruce Hill, that is. The little lumber town’s locals seem to be welcoming and kind, embracing Chauntis Bay’s newest keeper of the light and making it easier to move forward with a new life. But when a violent winter storm threatens the integrity of the lighthouse and a foundered ship washes up to shore, Max is bewildered to find a single, unbelievable survivor…

A sweet historical romance full of small-town charm and hair-raising adventure! Prequel to the Keeper’s of the Light multi-author series.

Keepers of the Light is a multi-author series that I’m ecstatic to be part of. Set in a small coastal Oregon logging town, these sweet stories feature the two lighthouses that guide ships past the treacherous shoreline and the couples who find their happily-ever-afters.

About Love’s Sweet Return

She lost the only thing she ever truly wanted: love. What could be worse? Find out in this sweet historical small-town romance full of walks on the beach, the gathering of close friends, a simple coastal Christmas, and a sweeping love story centered around a majestic white lighthouse.

He’d never let a woman ruin his beloved bachelorhood… not until he met the fiesty ship captain, that is.

As lighthouse tender to two magnificent lighthouses off the Oregon coast, Arthur Hugh treasures his time spent fishing in the bay and the isolation of living in a small lumber town. He can do what he wants, whenever he wants, answering to no one. But when a little boy shows up in Spruce Hill and turns Arthur’s life upside down, he begins to rethink everything that is important to him.

Bent on saving her family’s floundering freight business, Captain Sarah Ballinder has problems enough of her own without having to put up with an irritating ox of a man like Mr. Hugh. Forced to work together on a lighthouse project, Sarah wonders if anything worse could happen. She never imagined she could fall for the very man she despised…

The Captain’s Duty is part of the multi-author series Keepers of the Light but can be read as a standalone.

Living as the assistant keeper at the Puffin Point lighthouse for four years, Leonard Tarby admires everything about his coastal home: sweeping ocean seascapes, lush, tangled forests, and unobstructed views of the stars he enjoys charting. There was only one thing Leonard would change, and that is the absence of a loving bride by his side. Certain the only way to achieve that goal is to send for a bride through the mail, Leonard sits back to wait for her arrival, dreaming of a life of wedded bliss soon to come.

The young lady is soon on her way to Puffin Point but goes missing en route. Is there foul play involved or did she simply get cold feet? Will Leonard ever have a bride of his own?

Find out in this sweet historical romance full of dangers, intrigue, and love, all beneath the ever-watchful beam of a Pacific lighthouse.

My thoughts:

This is a long series. I only read the above four books by Krystal. They are super quick reads but very well done and interesting. I loved how each book had a bit of mystery woven in. Out of the four books I read Her Keepers Heart was probably my favorite. I had a feeling something bad was going to happen towards the end, a character show up who I knew would cause trouble.

It was also fun to see these characters from previous books show up in the new ones and what was going on their lives. If you enjoy books about lives surrounding a lighthouse I am sure you would enjoy these books.

Find the books on Amazon or your favorite retailer.

Copies of these books were given to me through Prism Book Tours. All opinions are my own.
