My thoughts:
This book felt different then previous books I have read by Nicole, but still good and interesting. Val isn’t some perfect character, she has things she is struggling with and I love that Miles overlooks those things.
I also appreciated Nicole’s real look at the inner workings of a church, especially a big church. It’s not all perfect and sometimes church leaders loose their way.
This wasn’t my favorite book by Nicole, but I did enjoy it.
