Foundational Teaching on Discerning What Is Happening in the Spiritual Realm

For many believers, operating in the gifts of the Spirit has become a normal way of life. Yet there is one often-overlooked, often-misunderstood gift crucial to the well-being of the church: the gift of discerning spirits.

This gift is the powerful supernatural ability to hear and see into the spiritual realm, yet many people who have it may think they are crazy. Finding no help from the church, some have turned to medical doctors and actually been diagnosed with a mental disorder. Jennifer Eivaz, a trusted prophetic voice, has been there, and she offers hope, healing, and practical help. Pulling back the veil, she
· lays a biblical foundation for how this gift works
· helps you discern what you are seeing and hearing
· reveals what is happening in the spiritual realm
· provides insight into the demonic, the angelic, and spiritual happenings
· and more.

The enemy is on the move. More than ever, the church needs people who operate in this powerful gift to expose hidden threats and help lead the church to victory.

My thoughts:

I am always interested in learning more about this subject and I have a desire to be more sensitive to what is going on around me supernaturally. I have read other books similar to this and have enjoyed them. I liked this book as well.

I appreciated how Jennifer talked not only about seeing the negative things but also seeing positive things, like angels. She also discusses picking up on things from other people and things they might carry with them. I really like learning the name of some spirits and their function and how they attack us. This makes it so much easier to come against them, knowing their function and how they try to take us down.

If you find this subject interesting I highly recommend this book.

About:

How to Pray with Boldness, Authority, and Supernatural Power

In a world full of desperate need, we turn expectantly to prayer, hoping to witness the realities promised in Scripture. Most of us, however, seldom see the results we hope for. Why don’t our prayers make more of a difference?

Beginning with her own experiences of breakthrough, Jennifer Eivaz offers much-needed direction and the biblical context for prayer that does make a difference–explaining the intervention of angels and demons, prophetic manifestations, and much more. She helps believers take hold of their authority and spiritual giftings and use them in the battle for victory. The Kingdom principles and study questions will help every believer navigate the spiritual realm of prayer by using the tools that make it truly effective.

My thoughts:

This is an extremely powerful book. The author does a great job of using her own personal experiences and those of others to give examples of how prayer has worked in her life.

This book will empower and encourage you to remember the power of prayer and the importance of it. I believe this is a very neglected area of our lives. If we fully grasp the magnitude of what our prayers can accomplish I think we would be it much more.

Toward the end of the book Jennifer says something every bold, but I believe to be very true. This is what she said: “Christians who do not pray or do not make an effort to pray as a church community forfeit their authority, not realizing they are the reason many people remain hell-chained in their communities with no other means of deliverance.”

Ouch, that is definitely something to think about.

I also like how she talked about areas we have overcome give us authority to prayer for that for other people. I never considered that before but I see truth there.
