About:

They’re running from their pasts into an unknown future.
But first, they’ll have to survive the present.

Nurse Pecca Gallegos moved to the tiny town of Walton, Georgia, to protect her son and escape the dangerous lifestyle that once defined her. When a series of strange circumstances evolves into threats, Pecca finds herself confiding in an unlikely ally–her stubborn patient.

Army veteran Colton Crawford is desperate to recover from the disorder that is ruining his life, and his instincts are on high alert when threats against his nurse and her son force him to take action. But Colton’s involvement only ramps up the danger when he uncovers a family secret revealing that whoever is after Pecca is closer–and more deadly–than they realized.

Welcome back to Walton, Georgia, where everyone knows your name–but no one knows your secret.

My thoughts:

I enjoyed this book. I have read every book in this series and enjoyed each one. It was nice to get to know Pecca and Maceo in this story and visit with Lane and Charlie again.

I felt the first seventy percent of this book was heavy on romance more than suspense. There were a few tense moments earlier but I not a ton, it wasn’t as much of a page turner for me until that 70% mark and then we were off to the races.

I had a feeling I knew who Juan was from the beginning and I was correct. But there was another big surprise that I didn’t see coming and I thoroughly enjoyed.

I am really hoping Pecca’s sister, Claudia, gets her own book because I really liked meeting her and I have a feeling with her there would never be a dull moment. But I have no idea if that is Natalie’s plans for her next series???

Overall a good read.

About:

Welcome back to Walton, Georgia, where everyone knows your name–but no one knows your secret.

Independent and tenacious journalist Vivian DeMarco is back in Walton, Georgia, for one reason–to do her job and get out. When her boss suddenly dies under suspicious circumstances, Vivian’s only hope for finding the truth–and the next big story–is small-town law enforcement’s lanky poster boy, Deputy Ryan Frost. But the deeper they dig, the more twisted the truth becomes. False leads, incriminating emails, and someone called the Watcher force Vivian to fight for answers–and her life.

My thoughts and giveaway:

Oh, yeah. Natalie is fast becoming one of my favorite romantic suspense authors.

We start out with a scene that you know just isn’t right, something is going on. From there is the tension only ramps up.

I love our hero. We meet him in the first book (which was awesome as well) but he returns in this book a bit more manly and we learn about his history, which he is trying to fight.

Vivian, too, is trying to out run her past, which is equally as interesting as Ryan’s.

Their second kiss is, oh my, yeah. Natalie knows how to write good kiss.

This book has it all, romance and suspense!!

About:

In the little town of Walton, Georgia, everybody knows your name–but no one knows your secret.

At least that’s what Lane Kent is counting on when she returns to her hometown with her five-year-old son. Dangerously depressed after the death of her husband, Lane is looking for hope. What she finds instead is a dead body.

Lane must work with Walton’s newest deputy, Charlie Lynch, to uncover the truth behind the murder. But when that truth hits too close to home, she’ll have to decide if saving the life of another is worth the cost of revealing her darkest secret.

My thoughts and giveaway:

You never know what to expect when reading something by a new author. I had heard a lot of good things about this book before I picked it up.

I was not disappointed. For anyone who enjoyed romantic suspense you will love this book.

So many secrets slowly revealed at just the right time. So many questions left unanswered until the perfect moment.

I have never struggled with depression (just the daily, once in a while type), but never had to live with it. But Lane does have to deal with it and figured out to survive for the little boy she loves.

Charlie has his own issues that seem to get entangled with Lane.

Overall, a wonderful read that will have you on the edge of your seat.
