About:

Finding Truth in a Universe of Opinions

What is truth?

This has become the defining question of our time. But while everyone has an opinion, truth, it seems, is getting harder and harder to find. Perhaps that’s because we are searching for something when we should be looking for someone.

Truth has a name.

More ancient than time and more present than this moment, truth is not a river that changes with the cultural currents, but a rock—immovable, invincible, unshakeable—and the cornerstone of all we are and ever dream to be.

Theologically deep yet intimately accessible. Adamant will be an anchor for your soul in a raging sea of opinions, giving you a clear sense of direction in a wandering world.

My thoughts:

This book shook me, rocked me, made me mad, awakened me.

This book reminded me of how far I have come from being intimate with Jesus. I’m not anymore and it make me said.

As Lisa wrote her words penetrated my heart and awakened things that have been asleep for years now. I was mad because I didn’t like the reflection I saw in the mirror but I know it was necessary. I needed to see all I am forgotten.

So much truth in this book, I will share a bit with you.

Page 131: “We are so afraid of being accused of being judgmental that we have gone mute.” Uh, yes!!

Page 132: “Love without truth is a lie.” Oh my, I could write a whole separate post on this thought.

On page 135 Lisa quotes G.K. Chesterton: “G.K. Chesterton said, ‘Tolerance is the virtue of a man without convictions.’ I fear we’ve chosen to tolerate things that will one day threaten to overwhelm us. We must always be kind and respectful, but the silence of tolerance can quickly morph into endorsement.”

If you want more I highly recommend this book. Wake up with me. Remember the great love our Father has for us and let’s step into the truth that is ours to rise up from.
