Dave doesn’t even try out for the play, but suddenly he is thrust into the role of Mr. Darcy and forced to spend the entire summer with Eddi, who clearly despises him.

Sparks fly every time Eddi and Dave meet, whether on the stage or off. But when Eddi discovers Dave’s secret, she has to admit there might be more to him than she thought. Maybe even enough to change her mind . . . and win her heart.

My thoughts and giveaway:

It took me a little bit to get into this book but once I did I really enjoyed it. If you are a Jane Austen fan, or even if you aren’t, this a very intense romance, sparks are flying.

I love Pride and Prejudice and  this book sticks so closely the original book but with all the modern twists to it.

There are some scenes that sensitive readers might not like but it’s real. Eddie’s youngest sister doesn’t know the Lord at all and she lives a sinful life. Debra doesn’t shy away from letting the reader know what Linda is up to. Nothing graphic but you get a clear picture of what is going on. I appreciate the fact that Debra kept things real.

Overall, an enjoyable read for anyone who likes a good romance.
